Pawlse (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a pet medication tracking application designed to help pet owners manage their pets’ medication schedules. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your display name

This information is used solely for authentication and identifying you within your household.

Pet & Medication Data

You may provide the following information:

• Pet names, species, and photos
• Medication names, dosages, schedules, and notes
• Dose administration logs (who gave which dose and when)

Household Data

If you create or join a household, we store:

• Household name and invite code
• Member associations (which users belong to which household)

Device Information

We collect:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens to send you medication reminder notifications
• Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability

How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Provide medication tracking and reminder functionality
• Sync data across your devices and household members
• Send you timely medication reminders via push notifications
• Improve app stability through crash reporting

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using:

• Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Storage) — hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure
• Local device storage (Room database) for offline access

All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.

Third-Party Services

Pawlse uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — Authentication, data storage, push notifications, crash reporting
• Google Play Services — Google Sign-In

Data Retention

• Your data is retained as long as you maintain an active account.
• You can delete your account and all associated data by leaving your household and uninstalling the app.
• Household data is retained as long as at least one member remains in the household.

Children’s Privacy

Pawlse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
